The program runs Saturdays at Lenape Middle School, 313 W. State St, Doylestown, PA 18901. The 8-week season starts the first weekend after Labor Day and ends the first weekend in November, with a one-week field closure by CBSD during the season.  

Participants in grades K-6 take part in a 45-minute practice session focused on skills and drills, followed by a 45-minute scrimmage with another team in their age group. The primary objective is skill development and application rather than competition. Each week, teams compete against different opponents on various fields.

For the Senior League (Grades 7-12), there is a 30-minute period dedicated to skills and drills, after which a game consisting of two 25-minute halves is played and officiated by PIAA certified officials. The approach emphasizes having fun, practicing new skills and participating in games, without an emphasis on winning.

We are a volunteer program and ask each participant to volunteer once per child each season. During registration, you can choose a role such as coach, sponsor, setup or breakdown crew, sales table manager, or activity helper. Tasks are simple, and you'll receive an email reminder with job details the week of your assignment. The full volunteer schedule is sent before the season begins.

Equipment required for all players each week includes:

• Field hockey stick (properly sized so that it reaches the hip bone)
• Shin guards
• Properly fitting mouth guard (molded to fit the mouth)
• Cleats or sneakers
• Sufficient water

Jewelry should be left at home to prevent injury during play.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT  -  PLEASE HAVE THE GIRLS REMOVE JEWELRY BEFORE COMING TO PRACTICE OR GAMES.   The girls are just learning and they often swing a little out of control and no one wants a girls to get hurt because she has earrings or jewelry on her body.

A $15 late fee will apply to registrations submitted after August 15.

First Session ~ 9am until 10:30am

Kindergarten, First, Second grades comprise our first league (GK/2)

Third and Fourth grades comprise our second league (G3/4) 

Second Session ~ 10:45am until 12:15pm

Fifth and Sixth grades comprise our third league (G5/6)

Third Session ~ 12:30pm until 2pm

Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth grades comprise our Senior League (Sr. League)
