The program is run only on Saturdays at Lenape Middle School.  Lenape Middle School is located at 313 W. State St, Doylestown, PA 18901.  The season is 8 weeks long, however, CBSD closes the fields down for a week during our season.  We start the first weekend in September after Labor Day and end the first weekend in November. 

We have a 45 minute practice session where the girls learn the skills and drills of the game followed by a 45 minute scrimmage against another team in their age group for grades K-6.  There is no focus on winning each week, the only goal is to use the new skills and try to improve the field hockey skills and having fun.  Each week you play a different team on a different field.  The Senior League (Grades 7-12) have a 30 minute skills and drills portion.  This is followed by a game that consists of 2-25 minute halves officiated by PIAA certified officials.  Again, there isn't a focus on winning but an emphasis on using the new skills and having fun with your friends.

We are a volunteer program and we ask that you give of your time once per child during the season.  You will be asked to choose a volunteer position at registration.  The volunteer duties aren't difficult:  Coach a team, Sponsor a team, Set-up or break down the Fields (moving the small goals), Set-up the sales table (move items to sales table area), Sell at the sales table during practice time, Clean up the sales table (move items back to shed), or Help on a day that there is an Activity scheduled on a specific day.

Equipment needed by all players each weeks:

• Field hockey stick (proper sizing-make sure it comes to the hip bone)
• Shin guards
• Proper fitting mouth guard (molded to fit in the mouth)
• Cleats/ or sneakers
• Lots & lots of WATER!!
• Please leave the jewelry at home, we don't want her getting hurt because she has jewelry on her body.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT  -  PLEASE HAVE THE GIRLS REMOVE JEWELRY BEFORE COMING TO PRACTICE OR GAMES.   The girls are just learning and they often swing a little out of control and no one wants a girls to get hurt because she has earrings or jewelry on her body.

The registration period for the Fall Field Hockey program WILL open again in early May 2024 and will be open until either all of the spots in the league have been filled or September 10th.

First Session ~ 9am until 10:30am

Kindergarten, First, Second grades comprise our first league (GK/2)

Third and Fourth grades comprise our second league (G3/4) 

Second Session ~ 10:45am until 12:15pm

Fifth and Sixth grades comprise our third league (G5/6)

Third Session ~ 12:30pm until 2pm

Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth grades comprise our Senior League (Sr. League)
