DAA Skills & Drills - SPRING 2024


Boys Schedules

Schedule

B-1st/2nd-Play at Cold Spring Saturday mornings 10:00am-2:30pm.  Practices in December with short practices followed by a full game running from January until mid March.  We use coaches, volunteers, and junior referees to officiate.  Boys play on 8 foot baskets.

B-3rd/4th-Play Saturday early afternoons at Kutz, or Sunday afternoons 12pm-5pm at Groveland.  Generally 1 weeknight practice as well running until mid to late March.  All at local CBSD elementary school gyms.

B-5th/6th-Play Saturday 8:30am-1pm at Lenape middle school.  A weeknight practice every other week as well.

B-7th/8th-Play Saturday mornings at Tohickon middle school.  Practices in December, a short practice followed by a full game running January until mid to late March.

B-9th/10th-Play games on Saturday afternoons at Tohickon.  Also, Tuesday or Wednesday nights.  Schedule is early January to mid to late March

B-11th/12th-Play Wednesday or Thursday nights at Tohickon.  May play additional teams from other local basketball organizations.  Runs from early January until mid to late March.

Girls Schedules

G- 1st/2nd Grade- Play @ Cold Spring Hunt Sat mornings 8:30-10:00 on 8' baskets,   45 minutes skills/45 scrimmage

G- 3/4 Kutz Gym Sat mornings 8:00-12:00 Plays games Jan - March practices on Sat in Dec and every other week. If you never played before we try to teach skills during the games, very friendly atmosphere

 G-5/6- Play at Lenape MS Mon/Wed Nights 6:30-9:00. Reg games with emphasis on learning skills and having fun

G-7-12 Senior League- Play Thursday nights @ Lenape MS. Games Jan- March having fun .

 

All teams but 1/2 Practice in Dec before the season and have practices every other week.

Inclement Weather
DAA Basketball uses Central Bucks School District facilities, and therefore is subject to school district Inclement Weather policies and decisions.

If school is cancelled or if students are released early because of bad weather conditions, any scheduled DAA Basketball activities, including games and practices are cancelled. Cancellations due to school closings will continue to apply even if the weather clears. Activities may also be cancelled after the normal end of the school day if weather conditions are judged to make it unsafe to travel.

We will note weather cancellations on the web site as soon as we are aware. The official notification of school closings is posted on the Central Bucks School District web site; which can be reached by clicking on this link www.cbsd.org.

To see if schools are closed on the weekends, call the facility hotline at 267-893-4020 then press 5 for an announcement.  If there is no annoucement there is no closure and buildings are open.

Zero Tolerance
Each player must agree to a commitment contract (Code of Conduct) with his/her coach and his/her parent or guardian before he/she will be allowed to participate in any DAA sport.

Additionally, every player, parent , coach and fan will be held accountable to the Zero Tolerance Policy if he/she are participating or attending any DAA sport. A copy of the policy has been incorporated in ALL REGISTRATION PROCESSES (in person and on-line) and can be viewed by clicking on Handouts in the menu bar of the this website.

Sports Accounting
Any person wishing to cancel after signing up for a sport, will be charged a minimum $10.00 check processing fee.  This fee is in addition to any other costs involved with a cancellation.  Please see your sports director for details.
