• All tryouts are at Lenape Middle School. 
• Pre-Registration is required.
• All 8th grade teams only have 1 tryout date. If there is an issue attending please contact basketball-travel@daasports.org 
• For Girls 3rd,4th and 5th grade, please contact basketball-travel@daasports.org 

• Teams are formed primarily by grade.  Players are assigned to teams according to age as of 08/01/23. Players can request to try-out for next age level if skill appropriate.
• All DAA travel teams will play in the Inter County Basketball Association (ICBA). For all ICBA info please go to www.icbabasketball.com
• Once your child makes a team, all players must register for Travel Basketball with DAA @ www.daasports.org. Registration must be completed prior to the team’s first practice.
• DAA highly recommends that your child participates with intramurals as this program is less competitive and more fun. It is not mandatory. If you want to play intramurals, you must register for the Winter 2023 Boys and Girls Basketball Program @ www.daasports.org. You will be given a Participation Code during registration during the checkout of travel registration. The Participation Code will allow you to register without being charged for the intramural program.
• Intramural and travel schedules do not typically conflict. Practices usually begin 1-2 practices/week in Sept/Oct. and 2 practices/week as the season approaches depending on gym availability.
• Tournaments are optional and are typically in November and December depending on coaches and player preference.
• Season Dates: Typically mid-Dec to mid-Feb with a total of 12 games. At that time, teams that qualify will be eligible for playoffs (start mid Feb). The post season will conclude for all teams in early March so as not to interfere with the AAU tryout-season.
• Home games are usually played on Saturday or Sunday afternoons in a CBSD or a DAA sanctioned gym. Away games can be any time during the week including weekday and weekend nights. Starting times for games during the week would be no earlier than 6:15PM and no later than 8:30PM. Saturday games will not be earlier than 8:00AM and Sunday not until 12:00PM. Special consideration is given to younger teams in regard to scheduling earlier times.
• Coaches decide whether to participate as a Division 1 (more competitive) or Division 2 team. There can be more than 1 team per age group based on the discretion of the Travel Director.
• DAA Travel Registration Includes Uniform, Practice Jersey, Intramurals, Gym Fees, Insurance Costs, ICBA tourney and League Fees
