Open Volunteer Positions

Please read on to learn about some of our open roles and please consider stepping into one, we rely on a diverse group of working volunteers to continue moving our organization forward, for players from t-ball to Connie Mack. Our Board of Directors is currently seeking to fill the roles of:

Coach Pitch League Director*  (for players born between May 1 2012 and April 30 2013)

League Directors are voting board members who work to form the teams and designate the coaches for their respective league. Through the season the league directors work in conjunction with the coaches, families and the VP of Junior Baseball to communicate opportunities to improve the experience.

Special Events Coordinator
This volunteer plays an important role in creating lasting memories for our players by coordinating our special events including: Opening Day, Home Run Derby, Championship and Skills Competition Weekend and maybe one or two more. Outstanding planning and communication skills are vital to being successful in this role. This is the perfect role for someone who cannot commit to being on the board full-time, but would like to make a significant contribution to the baseball season for hundreds of players.

Vice President of Junior Baseball
This voting board member oversees the operations of the in-house baseball program for players ages 5 through 12. The VP of Junior Baseball works with our Directors of Field Maintenance, Uniforms, Equipment, Scheduling, Special Events and the League Directors at each age level to help the season run as smoothly as possible. Communication skills are very important in this role.

Senior Baseball needs head coaches at several age levels (13, 14 and 15).
Senior teams play 2 to 4 games per week during the Summer Season (roughly Memorial Day through early August if you go a couple of weeks into the playoffs). Optional player workouts begin in late January and practice generally starts in April.

All of these positions are important for the long term development of the DAA Baseball program. Please contact Mark Tierney at 215.416.1920 or with any questions or to express interest in any of our open roles.
