Inclement Weather Policy

Rain out policy for games is as follows:

Both coaches have to agree that the field is un-playable. If there is a disagreement, the HOME teams' coach makes the final call. If it is questionable prior to game time, have the players go to the field and decide at the playing field. Weather can be isolated, so please check your field before making your final decision. If the field is un-playable, please reschedule your game as soon as possible. The home team manager should coordinate the rescheduling of the game. Please check the website for available slots.

When both teams agree on a date, Jr. baseball games should be rescheduled through Paul Szymanski at paul_gcigolfcars@comcast.net (215) 603-9165 to reserve the field. For Sr. Baseball reschedules, you should contact John Burke at johnjburke@verizon.net . If there is inclement weather in the area for most of the day, please check this website or your email to inquire if the fields are open or closed. If the weather is severe, DAA Baseball may close ALL fields.

Please remember if a game is in progress and lightening is observed in the area please clear the field IMMEDIATELY! The game will not resume until 20 minutes have past since the last flash of lightening. If the game continues after a weather delay and is stopped again, due to more flashes, the game will be canceled. Please reschedule your game as soon as possible. Please be very cautious when severe weather is approaching. BE PRO-ACTIVE instead of REACTIVE!!

Scheduling DAA Activities

Please remember that all DAA activities; field practices and games, gym practices and games and any sport meetings are scheduled through DAA administration. Individual coaches must coordinate changes through established channels due to insurance issues and the fact that the facilities we use belong to local municipalities. If we don't comply with the rules and guidelines, we will loose access to them.

Any DAA representative who violates this policy will jeopardize their coaching privileges in all DAA sports.

Thank you.
