Coaches & Assistant Coaches

As with all DAA sports, our volunteer coaches are the lifeblood of our program. Without coaches, we can not run these programs. I encourage all of you to volunteer to coach or be an assistant coach for a season. I guarantee you'll enjoy it and want to do it every season. Its fun, stress-free and only an hour of your time for 7 weeks. And you get invited to the coaches party which is a blast! All we need is people with enthusiasm. We'll show you the basics.

If interested in coaching, you will need to do the following:

  1. Check off the coaching box in the online registration form.
  2. Download and mail in the Coaches Background form.

You can find the background check form by clicking to the left navigation bar on this page - "Background Check". Download the form, print it, fill it out then mail it to the address on the bottom of the form. It only takes a few minutes and doesn't cost you anything. Its required of all coaches in DAA. If you can't find it, email me and I'll get one to you.

Division 1 (5th/6th Grades)
This is a non-competitive, co-ed division with kids who are just starting out in the sport.

Division 2 (7th/8th Grades)
This is also a non-competitive, co-ed division although the kids at this level are learning the game so there are more rallies and lots of kids serving overhand. Its definitely a step up from the younger kids.

Division 3 (9th thru 12th Grades)
This division will be more competitive with playoffs the last week of the season. Trophies will be awarded to the winning team. These kids are a mix of high school players, club players, intermediate players and some beginner players.
