GIRLS SOFTBALL: Leagues and Information

Rec League:

• The DAA Softball program is comprised primarily of rec softball teams.  These are teams at each of the age levels (6U, 8U, 10U and 12U) that play intramural games during the week and on weekends.
• There is no travel involved in rec softball.
• The 6U and 8U leagues are developmental leagues.
• The 10U and 12U have playoffs and a championship game.

VIGS League:

• DAA is a member of the Valley Intercommunity Girls Softball League.
• VIGS plays other communities such as Warrington, Deep Run, Lenape Valley, Towamencin, North Penn, etc.
• VIGS is a competitive league but there are NO player cuts.
  The schedule will include approximately 6 home and 6 away games at various local communities and additional playoff games.

Sunday Select:

• Approximately 14-15 players from each of the U10 & U12 Divisions will be invited to play on the DAA Sunday Select Teams.
• Teams will be selected in separate try-outs to be announced via e-mail and on the DAA Softball web site.
• These games take place on Sunday afternoons, are more competitive and are in addition to the regular recreation league games. Practices take place on Friday nights.  An additional cost will be incurred for the players on the Sunday Select Teams.
