Inclement Weather / Conduct / Guidelines
DAA Basketball uses Central Bucks School District facilities, and therefore is subject to school district Inclement Weather policies and decisions.
If school is cancelled or if students are released early because of bad weather conditions, any scheduled DAA Basketball activities, including games and practices are cancelled. Cancellations due to school closings will continue to apply even if the weather clears. Activities may also be cancelled after the normal end of the school day if weather conditions are judged to make it unsafe to travel.
We will note weather cancellations on the web site as soon as we are aware. The official notification of school closings is posted on the Central Bucks School District web site; which can be reached by clicking on this link www.cbsd.org.
To see if schools are open on the weekends, call the facility hotline at 267 893-4020 then press 8 for an announcement.
DAA Commitment Contract
All athletes, parents and coaches participating in DAA Sports are required to complete this form.
Daa Commitment Contract (word file)
DAA Spectators Code of Conduct
Daa Spectators Code of Conduct (word file)
Each player must sign a commitment contract (Code of Conduct) with his/her coach and his/her parent or guardian before he/she will be allowed to participate in any DAA sport.
Additionally, every player, parent , coach and fan will be held accountable to the Zero Tolerance Policy if he/she are participating or attending any DAA sport. A copy of the policy has been incorporated in ALL REGISTRATION PROCESSES (in person and on-line) and can be viewed by clicking on Handouts in the menu bar of the this website.
Any person wishing to cancel after signing up for a sport, will be charged a minimum $10.00 check processing fee. This fee is in addition to any other costs involved with a cancellation. Please see your sports director for details.
Required for ALL DAA Volunteers
In order to insure that the schools' property is protected, DAA is required to provide parents with standard background checks to act as as monitors at all weekend games. The referees will be instructed that NO GAME WILL START UNTIL THERE IS A PARENT VOLUNTEER TO MONITOR THE HALLWAYS.
It is extremely important we follow the rules set by the school district:
- No unsupervised children in hallways or bathrooms.
- No food or drink except water or sports drinks.
- Please clean up after you are done, remove bottles etc.
Please cooperate with and support the parents who volunteer as monitors.
Scheduling DAA Activities
Please remember that all DAA activities; field practices and games, gym practices and games and any sport meetings are scheduled through DAA administration. Individual coaches must coordinate changes through established channels due to insurance issues and the fact that the facilities we use belong to local municipalities. If we don't comply with the rules and guidelines, we will loose access to them.
Any DAA representative who violates this policy will jeopardize their coaching privileges in all DAA sports.
